Current day eating habits are not healthy and our bodies are not designed to generate energy from the majority of foods that we eat. Most of the foods that we consume are really not natural even though we might label some of them as being healthy and nutritious. Much of our diet consists of manufactured or processed foods which are typically transformed from naturally occurring food products such as corn.

Many diets remain ineffective as they do not prescribe eating the proper foods at the right times or help you to avoid unnecessary foods. However, one diet that is correct and helps maintain right body weight is the Paleolithic diet or the "weight loss Paleo diet." This diet plan refers back to the diet of cavemen in the Paleolithic age and is widely known as "the Caveman Diet."

Weight loss is the most visible side effect of the Paleo diet plan though it is not the primary objective. The only objective is a return to natural foods. Introducing this plan to your routine will make weight loss possible and assist you make a true lifestyle change.

This authentic diet plan focuses on a slimmer waistline, building muscle, and staying fit and healthy. The diet of the caveman included only fresh and naturally occurring foods which lead them to be healthy and able to endure a lot of daily dangers.

Unlike other diets, there are no points assigned, no portions to weigh, and no calories to track, just eat until you are satisfied. This allows your body to tap into its normal signals of hunger and fullness which you may have been possibly ignoring in the past.

Now you want to know which foods are not allowed on the Paleolithic plan? The uniqueness of the Paleo diet is that it avoids several farmed foods like beans, dairy products, legumes and grains which came after the Paleolithic period. Other foods that are restricted on this diet include deep fried foods, potatoes, sweet potatoes, sugar, cereals, cakes, cookies, and salt.

There are lots of health benefits offered by the Paleo diet. Studies reveal that this diet is extremely helpful in a slimmer waistline, but it also acts as a solution for prevention for medical conditions such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, hypertension, and osteoporosis.

Though adhering to such a diet might be challenging for some, it definitely fits our human genetics much better than our modern, boxed and canned foods diet. As far as Weight loss goes, the Paleolithic diet was followed easily by our ancestors and has been proven to be one of the among best diets for a healthy lifestyle.
